"Instruments of Peace" Frechen 2009
Young people celebrated together peace and understanding in Frechen with the Choir "Meytav" Vocal-Ensemble from Rosh Ha'ayin, Israel. The concerts "Instruments of Peace" were a demonstration for democracy and understanding in our society and against racism and ignorance between the cultures. Especially in view of our international project this particularly concerns the relationships between Jews, Christians and Muslims. Within the context of our projects on Christian-Jewish encounters we spent Chanukka and Advent together by singing and lightening candles. Thus students from Israel and Germany celebrated their holidays together.
Through the concerts of "Instruments of Peace" a sense of togetherness was communicated to the young audience.

Tuning kids into religious instruments of peace
ROCK ISLAND -- The Jewish Federation of the Quad-Cities may be turning local music students into international ''Instruments of Peace.''
Federation executive director Allan G. Ross went to Germany last month to learn more about the program and pave the way for local students to follow in his footsteps.
